The fireworks display at the Chichibu Night Festival on Dec 3 of every year is one of the most spectacular in the world. For several hours, incredibly orchestrated fireworks light up the sky, providing a natural psychedelic high that must be experienced to be believed. Thousands of people travel out from Tokyo to see it, even when it occurs in the middle of a week.

Here's the plan:　プラン

People who come to the Greenhouse during the day on Thursday should be here before 6:30 if they wish to ride with us into Chichibu. Alternatively, we can meet in Chichibu.

木曜日に一緒に車で秩父に行きたい人は６時半までにグリーンハウスに来て下さい。　または秩父で会う事が出来ます。

At the top of one of the narrow roads lined with yatai there is a small temple just below the hill from which the fireworks are launched.

屋台が並んでいる狭い道路の上、花火が発火される丘の下に小さいお寺が あります。

We will meet around the junction of roads in front of the temple. If you do not see us there, phone 090-5311-1614 to find out where we are.

After the fireworks display, which runs from about 7:30 until 10 or so, we will return to the Greenhouse for snacks and music.

　７時半頃から１０時頃の花火の後スナックや音楽のためグリーンハウスに戻ります。

COSTS: Instead of charging any admission to The Greenhouse, we will simply ask for contributions when you leave. Food will be available a la carte -- tasty snacks in the evening, and breakfast/brunch in the morning.

　料金：入場料ではなく帰る時に寄付をお願いします。

ACCESS: Seibu-Ikebukuro Line from Ikebukuro Station to Seibu-Chichibu Station (about 750 yen, or a bit over 1000 yen if you take the Red Arrow Superexpress). It is about a ten minute walk from the station to the temple.

SHEN FLINDELL OPEN SESSION 11-13 SEPT

Many lovers of Indian music in Japan know about Shen Flindell, the Australian tabla player and teacher who visits Japan every year to perform across the country, and occasionally offer lessons.
多くの日本のインド音楽愛好家はシェン・フリンデル、毎年日本を訪れ国を 廻って演奏しときにはレッスンをするオーストラリアの演奏家で先生を知って ます。

This year he has a busy schedule again, but on the weekend of 11-13 September, he will be at The Greenhouse in Chichibu for a weekend gathering to which we are inviting instrumentalists who would like to play with him on an informal basis.
今年も忙しいスケジュールですが９月１１〜１３日の週末に彼とインフォーマ ルに演奏したいミュージシャンをよぶ集いに秩父グリーンハウスにいます。

He will be performing with the sarod player Baku Hirakawa, and the rest of the time will be ready to jam with instrumentalists (and dancers!) who are requested to contact us if possible beforehand to tell us what to expect.
サロードプレイヤー平川 麦と演奏しますが他の時は、出来たら前もって私 たちに何をするか連絡してくれるプレイヤー（そしてダンサー）と一緒に演奏 します。

As well as live improvisation, there will be DJs performing ethno-ambient and chillout music.

Admission will be 1000 yen for the weekend, and delicious food and beverages will be available on a cafeteria basis. You are requested not to bring your own food or drink, and to note that The Greenhouse is an alcohol-and-drug-free zone.
入場料は１０００円でおいしい食べ物、飲み物がカフェテリア式であります。食べ物、飲み物の持ち込みはご遠慮ください。グリーンハウスでは、アルコールとドラッグの使用を控えてください。

There is plenty of room to sleep, but it might be a good idea to bring a sleeping bag, and appropriate clothing for walks in the woods.
寝る場所はたくさんありますが寝袋や森を歩いたりするのに適当な服を持って 来るのもいい考えかもしれません。

このパーテイのもう一つの局面：ーーー友人、グリーンハウスサポーター達とここに概要した計画を相談したいと思ってます。

色々なシステムの最近の崩壊から思われる多くの成り行きからハッキリしている事の一つに地球規模の食料不足があります。以前にガーデニングなど考えた事もない人さえ少なくとも小規模ながらも食べ物を育てる技術を学ぶには今はいい時です。

今年はグリーンハウスで野菜、ハーブ等を育てる実験をするつもりですーーーグリーンハウス、ここ日本ではビニールハウスと呼ばれているものです。持続的にチェックしたり電気も使わず自動的に給水する低メンテナンスの技術を見つけました。

グリーンハウスでこの様な分野を探求するのに来て一緒に実験をしたい人達を招きます。音楽を聞きながら日中働いて夕方よく食べて憩って。宿泊、食事は仕事と代償か時間で現金とのコンビネーションで払えます。

Of the many consequences to be expected from the current collapse of various systems, one of the more obvious is global food shortages.  Now is a good time even for people who have not thought before about gardening to consider at least learning techniques of growing food on a local scale.

This year at The Greenhouse we intend to experiment with growing vegetables and herbs in ...well, greenhouses,  or vinyl houses, as they are called in Japan.  We have discovered some new technology that will allow creating thriving low-maintenance greenhouses automatically watered without constant checking or electricity.

We are inviting people who would like to experiment and learn along with us to come and spend time at The Greenhouse exploring these areas.  Working during the day (with music),  eating well (with music(  and hanging out in the evenings (with music).   Accommodation, food and facilities will be payable with work, or with a combination of hours and cash
